Welcome!
To all Safety Professionals and everyone else who has an interest in "Safety in the Workplace". The Lower Columbia Basin Chapter (LCB) is located in the Tri-Cities, in the State of Washington. We are dedicated to servicing members, and Safety and Health Professionals in an eight county area from Yakima, to Dayton Washington, to LaGrande Oregon.
The LCB Chapter was formed in the Tri-Cities after being a section under the Inland Northwest Chapter, Spokane, Wa. for several years. We became the 140th ASSE Chapter with a territory that includes Benton, Franklin, Yakima, Walla Walla, Columbia counties in Washington State, and Umatilla, Morrow and Union counties in Oregon State. The Chapter currently has around 140 members. We meet 9 times a year, as well as issue 10 newsletters a year and are involved in several community safety support projects.

Meetings will be held at the Shiloh Inn Suites Hotel located at 50 Comstock Street in Richland, Washington.

All events begin with social time from 5:30 PM to 6 PM.
Dinner begins at 6 PM
A short business meeting begins at 6:45 PM followed by the speaker.
Dinner is $20
For a minimum $5 "speaker only donation" you may have one piece of dessert and coffee.
Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
It is time for our LCB ASSE Holiday Party! The date is December 7, 2011 and it will be held at the Black Heron Spirits, 8011 Keene Road, West Richland, WA. (Do not use GPS to find it, you will get lost.) The event will be catered and spirits will be available to purchase. Please drink responsibly.
Please bring an unwrapped new toy for giving to a foster child (Toys-for-Tots). Non perishable foods will also be accepted for the food bank.
Please bring a $10 to $20 white elephant gift for sharing at the event.
Tickets are on sale now for $25 and may be purchased by contacting one of your board members listed below.

Please know that our meeting location has changed for 2012. January through June ASSE meetings will be held at the Shiloh Inn located at 50 Comstock Street in Richland WA. Social hour begins at 5:30, dinner at 6 (cost $20), and speaker at 7 PM. If you do not want dinner but donate at least $5 you may have a piece of dessert and coffee.
